Remove Black and White Heads in 15 minutes!

If you are averse to facials with pricking involved, this one is for you -and your nose. Black and white heads usually crowd up the nose area, giving you a black dirty looking nose. It would range from small to huge ones that you just want to squeeze out but squeezing your own nose to clean it would just aggravate these little devils and turn them into zits or humongous pimples.

Here's the solution: Beauty Credit's Mud Pore Strips. I first heard about Beauty Credit in Badet's blog, where she featured the charcoal version. These are only available at Watson's in SM Mall of Asia but instead of the charcoal pore strips, the sales lady gave me Beauty Credit Mud Nose Pore Cleansing Patch. It's also black so I did not notice the mistake but anyway, it also worked.

The box is written in Korean which I don't understand but from the photos and numbers I deciphered the following steps:

1. Wet your nose, just use your finger and make it moist.
2. Apply the nose pore strip or patch and pat it lightly so it touches your skin. Most of all, so that all those dirt and black heads will be trapped into this sticky patch.
3. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes until the pore strip is dry.
4. Lift the pore strip upwards quickly.

Lo an behold, you'll be amazed at how much dirt and black heads have been collected by the pore strip. Since it's black, you can easily see how much it has collected - eeewww. After trying Beauty Credit's Pore Strip, I felt my nose was a lot cleaner. I could actually see unclogged pores and can imagine my skin breathing free - finally.

The Beauty Credit Mud Pore Patch costs Php 199 (7 pieces). It is located at Beauty Credit's own stall inside Watson's in Mall of Asia. Go to the make up section and you will find it. Good bye blackheads! :)

Anti-Acne Skin Regimen that Works

I am very excited to share this skin regimen to you my dear readers! Let me start by saying that my battle with acne has cost me thousands of pesos and dozens of treatments. Some treatments worked as long as you regularly visit the clinic and have expensive procedures done like bi-monthly chemical peels, facials, or monthly diamond peels. It was very financially and physically frustrating.

Until I asked my dermatologist Dra. Rose Gatmaytan if she had a solution for my face. She is the same dermatologist of Caraderme clinic that made my back clear from acne. She asked if I wanted procedures but I said I was only ready to buy the medicines. She then gave me a list of her skin regimen. She had forewarned me that my skin will look red and flaky for a month.

This was my face before this skin regimen: stressed, dark, blotchy, prominent acne scars, active pimples, and bumpy.

BEFORE: with and without powder

And this is my proud face now - minimum acne scars, brighter, and clearer.
AFTER: with and without powder

READ MORE ABOUT THE REGIMENT AFTER THE JUMP....

The Regimen:

Morning:

1. Benzoderm Soap
2. Azelaic Acid
3. Benzomycin Gel
4. Parsol Gel

Evening:

1. Benzoderm Soap
2. Astrimycin Toner
3. Requinol A
4. Requinol B
5. Acne Cystisol
6. Acnelyt

Total damage: Php 2,500 + /-
Appointment/consultation fee: Php 500

Most of the medicines like the gels and Requinol A need to be refrigerated for them not to lose their potency. Again, if you will start this regimen make sure that you can afford to have a red peeling face for one whole month, give around 2 more weeks allowance. The peeling stage can get ugly and it is best to skip make up or it might irritate the new layer of skin. This is the hardest and most embarrassing stage but is well worth it if you want to end your skin problems once and for all.

You will be given an instruction sheet to follow by the dermatologist if you choose to go to Caraderme. If not, ask your own dermatologist if she has these medicines in stock and if it is suitable for your skin condition.

During the first few weeks, the medicine will feel very stingy or itchy - it is best to apply it in front of an electric fan (the things we do for beauty). After your skin has peeled and normalized to its new beautiful condition the medicines will not sting anymore.

Of course you have to get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, and relax to avoid getting break outs. If a bump appears, just put a cotton with acne cystisol on top of the pimple and let dry for 15-30 minutes. Top with acnelyt and the next day, it is visibly smaller.

Visit http://caraderme.com and if you have any other suggested anti-acne skin regimen that worked for you, please share it with us via the comments link below :)

The best quick fix for a cystic pimple!

A big red acne bump on the cheek, nose or chin can ruin the most important dates of your life, but you should know that you can do something about it right away with the help of your dermatologist. Usually, cystic pimples or acne don't go away after a week and then it will leave a scar that can last up to a month.

Intralesional steroid injections can save your face and day, after 24 hours you'll notice that the cystic pimple you have has already flattened out and is almost unnoticeable. Intralesional steriod injections are sometimes called pimple injection in layman's term.

I was in college when I first learned about it, and since my skin is acne prone - I just run to a dermatologist whenever I have a big unattractive and distracting cystic pimple on my chin. Just last week, I had to have my chin injected even before a monstrous pimple emerged. I had this done by my dermatologist who had a different approach.

After the injection, she put a pink solution over the bump. The bump became almost white that I had to place band aid over it so I can resume to my daily tasks without being distracted. When I came home and removed the band aid, the bump was almost gone. The next day, it was totally gone. Her method is the fastest I have ever experienced compared to the other dermatologists I dealt with.

Intralesional steroid injections costs a minimum of Php 200, depending on how many shots you need. Most of the time, one big bump just needs one shot. It is best to have a dermatologist administer this rather than spa or facial attendants to ensure that the procedure is safe and sanitary.
