Our party was a success with everyone wearing red. Indeed fashion makes the world a happier place! I am wearing the Kashieca red dress I got for just Php350 ++ during their sale.

Meanwhile, my New Year's Eve date is wearing a red & geeky Optimus Prime shirt from Transformers. He's got lots of these funny cute shirts, including fish t shirts and Pets T Shirt. His hat is from a street vendor, I got it for Php20 for my 7 month old.

Me and my sister have matching outfits, actually we bought the same dress. It made me look pregnant though haha :) My headband is a pink hello kitty crown from Marcella's, at Php 85++.

Now I know the makings of a fun yet practical New Year's Eve home party: Lechon, costumes, hats, photobooth, and lots of party poppers!

Flowers, Braids, and Hats

This was my outfit last Saturday when I toured my sister Joni to the Salcedo weekend market and also shopped at two different malls. First time wearing a hat after many years. This hat is super vintage - my sister and I got it when I was in gradeschool and she was in highschool. This was the trend before, including sunflower pins, do you remember? :)

My hair is a side braid, looks messy here but it was rather cute during the first few hours x.x

I always wanted to own a hat but never bought one, until yesterday I saw this hat by Max Alexander in David Jones. It was love at first sight. I put it down once, twice, and thrice - I just had to own it forever.

This, one can wear even in Manila as a fashion hat. In Melbourne, it's easy to get hats, berets, and other head/hair accessories. They are readily available in malls like David Jones or Myer.

There's always a first time for everything, even for a lovely hat! :)
