Birthday Thank You's!

Everyone, today I turn a year older and am celebrating my 25th birthday! :) This birthday is so important to me since I am going to be a mommy soon ^_^

Celebrating my birthday with my aunt Helen whose birthday is also today

I would like to thank all those who sent in their greetings, my blogger friends, readers, clients, etc. Special thanks to my bestfriend Jollibee for sending me my Jollibee birthday cake! Every year, Jollibee makes my birthday awesome.

Thanks for everyone's support and for keeping up with my slow pace (with my bulging tummy).

Hugs and kisses,

Lace :)

Think positive because Life is Yum

"Think positive" is everybody's mantra but what better way to share our worries but through dancing (and some burgers?).

Dennis Heruela, Donna Conda, Kay Segismundo, Mark Reyes, Aileen Ricasata, Mark Christian Parlade and Malou Pasana

These whiz kids thought of making the first flash mob with 300 dancers in the Philippines to bring out one clear message: Life is Yum.

Awesome public entertainment :) I wish we can all instantly head spin on the floor given a stressful situation haha

Stress-Free Mornings with Jollibee

Mornings are challenging especially if you have to wake up early but there is always a work around on how to make your mornings stress-free!

I read how drinking a glass of water right after waking up can start your day calm but nothing beats yoga practice in the morning :) If you can, wake up an hour earlier and pop your yoga dvd, don't forget to say your personal mantras (e.g. Today will be great, I am beautiful, etc).

Me and Jollibee practicing yoga at 9AM, if Jollibee can do it so can you!

If you are not keen on being a human pretzel early in the morning, Taichi is something you might like. It will energize your chi and also provide a good breathing exercise. I also keep Taichi DVDs of the late David Carradine.

Super Jollibee Breakfast Joys: fried rice, sunny side-up egg, corned beef, tapa, longanissa, and sausage.

After your brief morning stretch cum workout, you have all the right to eat a hearty breakfast. Personally, I wouldn't eat too much rice but load up on protein sources like tapa, eggs, corned beef, sausages, crispy bangus, or hotdogs (my favorite). Breakfast is a great morning ritual because you feel that taking care of yourself always comes first. This is your "me" time before your boss or any other persons enter the day.

Good news to those who go to work early, or simply do not know how to cook a yummy breakfast, since Jollibee is always serving piping hot breakfast until 11:00AM. Thumbs up to their hearty but healthy breakfast choices that would melt any type of morning stress away. Have your breakfast delivered or run to the nearest Jollibee branch after your workout :)

Jollibee Doll raises 18 Million for Charity

Cottolengo Filipino officially receives their Jollibee grant

At the Manila Ocean Park, Jollibee officially turned over the 18 million pesos which it raised from sales of the Jollibee Hug and Share doll. This super hug-able Jollibee doll was sold last year in celebration of Jollibee's 30th anniversary. Since it was a "limited edition" item, many fell in line and scoured several Jollibee branches just to have one. It was the perfect gift to give last Christmas and now those who purchased the hug and share doll can officially say that they've helped hundreds of children from different foundations.

Manila Ocean Park was filled with smiles of kids, some traveled from as far as Benguet to celebrate and receive Jollibee's grant. The eight beneficiaries are: Cottolengo Filipino, ERDA Tech, Families and Children for Empowerment and Development Foundation, House with no Steps, Marcellin Project, Shontoug Foundation, Philippine Children's Medical Center, and the Busog-Lusog Program of Jollibee Foundation.

The children in return performed and showcased their talents for the guests to enjoy. After which, each kid were all smiles when they were all given their own Jollibee Hug and Share doll by their bestfriend, Jollibee himself :)

After the formal turnover, the kids took the much awaited tour of the Manila Ocean Park. Both kids and adults enjoyed experiencing the ocean park, most for their very first time.

Who knew that a simple doll can make such a big difference in children's lives? Congratulations to Jollibee for teaching the value of sharing.

Jollibee's 39er Bazaar

Good friend Jollibee texted that he will hold a bazaar and everything will be sold for 39 pesos, what?

So I met Jollibee there and saw him inside his bazaar. Bags, Jollibee stuff toys, Jollibee housewares, and even Jollibee coffee mugs were being sold.

Jollibee gave me a handful of shopping "play" money, each bill amounted to 39 pesos and I used these in grabbing all the items. I filled up two eco friendly shopping bags!

I didn't know that 39 pesos can still buy so much, Jollibee even showed us that you can enjoy eating at Jollibee for only 39 pesos. Jollibee is offering 39er meals and at 39 pesos, the meals are so much filling and delicious.

The Beef Strips are my favorite, tasty and healthy with the veggie side dish. I guess this is perfect for students and especially office workers looking for budget but delicious meals.

I guess in times of osterity, all we need is just a little creativity ! :)

Thank you Jollibee for the wonderful shopping and gastronimic experience.
