The much awaited Mega Shoes and Bag Sale is now here! Grab your purses and head to SM Megatrade Hall on August 27 to 30. Actually, it's going to be Megatrade Halls 1 & 2!


I don't normally partake in this crazy sale (read: Crocs is participating) until I fell in love with Parisian shoes. I am not even sure if they will participate but I am going to take my chances, rawr!

Other brands that are gonna get the red tag are Hush Puppies, Chinese Laundry, Ipanema, Grendha, and CROCS! Drag your man too because Cole Haan, Nike, Adidas, Converse, Vans, Merrell, Skechers, Pony, Puma, Reebok, Fila, AND1, New Balance, Rockport, and GBX are going to be there as well. See you? See you!

Style Scene: Forever 21 VIP Launch

It was my super lucky day and I got to squish myself in the massive A-listers inside the new and first ever Forever 21 shop in the Philippines. Inside SM Megamall, shoppers were so excited their wallets are shaking in fear!



Yet, I was greeted by affordable accessories and I love how I am one of the firsts to get the first dibs :) There are so many looks or themes at Forever 21, certainly one is the love of ribbons inspired by Louis Vuitton.

I got two accessories and one piece of clothing but will make it secret first :)

I went with my little fashionista baby boy Ash and explained to the 1 month old how Forever 21 has chiffons, laces, studs, and knits all under one roof. Super happy with their stocks and pricing, and did you know that you can use your SM Advantage cards here to earn points? I did!

Stepping into Parisian Shoes

It's been a while (a long while) since I seriously hunted for shoes. I cannot afford to wear heels at this time so I must find flats that are interesting enough for myself. Lots of fashion bloggers are raving about how cool and stylish Parisian shoes of SM have become and I just had to see it for myself.

I've vowed to grab this pair of interesting flats and actually saw them for the first time at SM Makati. Yet, my size was no longer available. I wanted to cry! It was in black but it was in size 6. I tried to squish my feet like an evil step sister in Cinderella but to no avail.



Yesterday, I went to SM Bacoor and yey! My size was available but I had to settle for brown. It wasn't actually on display and I had to show the photo above from my cellphone to the salesladies. Good thing they were really helpful even the stocks-man who scavenged in the stock room for my size.

They have lots lots more interesting pieces and I wish I could get them all, even the towering ones but I have to stop myself. Til the next pair!

SM Advantage Exclusive One Day Sale!

Oh my card! I got this on my email today and all I can think of are the things I can grab at Watson's. I don't know why but lately, I can't stop shopping. Will definitely check this out, I also want to try shoes from Parisian (which are getting more stylish) and some baby items for Ashton.

This sale is exclusive to SM Advantage card holders, if you do not have one yet, I do not know what planet you are from. Now the only thing to decide is which SM I should go to! :)

Beauty by SM Launch - Bigger, Better!

Bigger beauty hall in SM Makati

Enhanced by spacious aisles, new and exclusive brands, and expert service, the brand new beauty section of SM Department Store in Makati is now bigger, better, and even more beautiful.

SM Makati’s brand new beauty hall boasts of 1,390 square meters of 7,000 unique products, 72 fragrance brands, 36 cosmetic brands, and 52 skin care brands, and 16 exclusive brands including Tri-Aktiline, Clinelle, Colorescience, 4U2, Ardell, Kiss, Beauty Credits, and Ianti.



Last January 22, 2010, the beauty section of SM Makati was awash with activity as Beauty by SM was officially introduced to VIP’s, partners, beauty professionals, media guests, and VIP’s. These includes celebrities like Tim Yap and model Karen Pamintuan who were the hosts of the evening.

Guests and shoppers were also inspired with the fashion show that featured clothes found in the department store and makeup that can be tried out at the Beauty Hall.

The event was the perfect time to get free makeovers, try out hair products such as hair curlers and straighteners, and get to know more about the latest beauty products.

Mall Adventure: SM Taytay

Tired of the usual nearby malls in Manila, Style and Relax decided to hop in the ride and travel to SM Taytay. The mall is fairly new, it had two buildings which was connected by an airconditioned bridge way that reminds one of Startrek movies.



I was expecting a provincial looking mall but the layout is really impressive, there are coffee shops like Starbucks which offered al fresco dining and my favorite boutiques are also present. The climate in Taytay is cooler and not humid, the place offered an urban mall experience but in a more relaxed environment. Less cars, and less busy shoppers walking around.



Jayson, SM Taytay and Marikina's marketing maven toured me and my companion around the mall. He is planning lots of activities and events for the coming months which are all very exciting. SM Taytay has their own event center that can hold exhibits, conventions, parties, what have you.



Somehow, this branch of SM made me feel very relaxed and excited at the same time. There are new stores and restaurants that are bound to open and I can't wait to go back to have another adventure. Familiar shops and diners have also reinvented their look for a more stylish mall experience.

Must visit and try at SM Taytay:


Bake and Churn's Ice Cream Cake - they now have a dining area that will let you enjoy their sinful desserts right away!


Manoy Bicol - soon to open, we are excited to taste the spicy flavors of Bicol. I hope they will serve my favorite dish called Laing.


Dunkin Donuts - who will ever miss their colorful spot at SM Taytay? With these colorful umbrellas and bright array of donuts, you'll feel like a child again with your favorite pasalubong to receive.

Next stop is SM Marikina which I also haven't visited, we just can't have enough SM malls!

Style Scene: SM launches Baldemor Green Bag

Art and design are finally injected into the green eco-bags of SM Shopping Malls. It was no less than internationally acclaimed and awarded artist, Manuel Baldemor who lent his art for SM's environmental sustainability program. The green bags are just one of the many steps that SM has been practicing to protect and help save the environment.



The first SM green bags were launched 2 years ago with the help of Unilever who has yet again pledged their full support to SM's environmental advocacy. The green bags are hypo-allergenic (yey!), non-toxic, and made from 100% polypropylene material.

The Baldemor Green Bags were launched at SM Mall of Asia's Atrium which was elegantly occupied by CEOs, celebrities, models, and the media.



Artist Manuel Baldemor painted 4 artworks namely graces from the land, graces from the sea, graces from the air, spiritual light & supreme energy. These are limited edition green bags that can be purchased for Php 35 for every Php 500 spent in SM Shopping Malls. Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi were present as the endorsers of the Baldemor Green Bag. The entire event was hosted by Susie Andrada and Paolo Bediones who had matching white and grey outfits.
