Look what I got from the mailbox yesterday! :) Without a doubt, it was another treat from Starbucks, something new and something sweet.

Doughnuts! I've always loved Starbucks' chocolate glazed doughnuts with my latte but Starbucks is determined to enhance our coffee moments even more. They've brought Top Pot Doughnuts in Manila which will be available in all Starbucks branches starting April 12 .

Top Pot is a family owned business started by two brothers Mark and Michael Klebeck. Starbucks hand selected Top Pot back in 2005 to carry their doughnuts in the Starbucks pastry cases of stores throughout western Washington. Starbucks is pleased to offer its customers a unique, old style hand-forged doughnut.

I highly recommend the Glazed Old-Fashioned Top Pot Doughnut. The flavor is reminiscent of the fresh doughnuts that you remember from the corner doughnut shop, growing up. Inside the golden exterior is a moist, golden cake with hints of vanilla and a little nutmeg. When it is piping hot, it is covered with Top Pot’s own proprietary “Air Sped” glaze.

Just yesterday, Krispy Kreme Chef Rick from Maryland unveiled KK's Baked Creations that would give new meaning to the word breakfast. Kruffins are American style hand made muffins-with-a-hole filled with rich and delicious fruits, nuts or chocolate with varieties which include Double Chocolate, Apple Streussel, Blueberry and Classic Kruffin.


Behind this question are the baked creation goodies!

Our favorite is the Apple Streussel :)

The Pull Aparts are the North Carolina original hand-rolled balls of dough, pulled apart and laid to form a doughnut like sweet bread, filled with sweet or savory varieties such as Cheese, Bacon & Cheese, Sausage & Cheese and Cinnamon.


Baked Creations - just in!

The combination of meat, cheese, and sausage are a perfect energy booster together with a cup of brewed coffee. I couldn't wait to taste the bacon and sausage variants but they ran out of these pull aparts right away. The cheese pull apart is good though :)

If there is a Krispy Kreme branch close to my heart, it would be the Krispy Kreme in Boni High where the Chocolate Carnival was launched and where we celebrated Krispy Kreme's 72nd birthday.



Krispy Kreme inspires different people in different ways, wherever they are - our favorite Krispy Kreme makes our life more special. Personally, Krispy Kreme inspires me to write better with a cup of their signature coffee and a plate of their Original Glazed doughnut. It's the perfect combination to get over a writer's block.
