What's new at Cocktales? Jamvocado!

First of all, I am so sad that Cocktales in Megamall's Atrium has closed shop. That was my favorite desserts place and I wanted to bring my son there. I always crave Cocktales' desserts whenever I go to the mall, my favorite was the Scarlet Red.

Watermelons, tapioca balls, and melon = Scarlet Red

But at Cocktales in Trinoma, I tried something new and it's called the Jamvocado. Actually they have two new desserts, the Jamvocado and the Avocado Fiesta. Now I have a new favorite!

Jamvocado to the left and Avocado Fiesta to the right

The Jamvocado is made of tasty and refreshing avocado, ube, LECHE FLAN, and chewy tapioca balls. It's the Leche Flan that made the big difference, I love flan and combined with the popular favorite fruit Avocado, it was a bowl of unforgettable delight.

This time, I paired it with a healthy Tuna Sandwich also from Cocktales. I always order it with extra chips! It was the perfect ending to a tiring shopping day with my family and friends.

Hair Revelation: Sunsilk Co-Creations

Because 'revelations' and 'mysteries' are uso I am just going to hop in this hairy topic :p Guess what these are inside my shower cabinet:

I love the rainbow effect, don't you? It's really no mystery because one look and obviously they are Sunsilk Co-Creations Shampoo. I've been using Yuko Yamashita's pink shampoo called Smooth and Manageable ever since it was revealed and made available on the racks.

Why? Because I love anything Japanese and it makes my hair soft, smooth, and yummy because of it's sweet soft yogurt-y scent. I am not saying these because I've been sent tons of shampoo bottles but because I really use Sunsilk's Smooth & Manageable shampoo. The only thing I haven't tried is the Creamsilk conditioner, I don't know yet which variant matches my shampoo
of choice.

Co-created by Japanese hair expert, Yuko Yamashita

If you've noticed how my hair is freed of chok-choks and pampony these days, it's all thanks to Ms. Yamashita haha :) I haven't tried the new Creamsilk Conditioners but I will soon and I hope it makes my hair even better.

I wonder if Yuko ever came to visit Manila? I want my hair expertly touched by her :p

Going All Out at Robinson's Clearance Sale!

Recharge your shopping powers and dig in at Robinsons Galleria!

First, a heads up to all shoppingeras - all Robinsons Malls are having a clearance sale from August1-31. It's the longest shopping event of Robinsons Malls with discounts of up to 50% off. I just had to be there on Day One to have the first dibs on sale items which includes clothes for me, toys for my little boy at Toys R' Us and some home appliance at Handyman.

Fashion finds at Warehouse

At Warehouse @Robinsons Galleria, European pieces at 70% discount

It was my first time in Warehouse, I even thought it was a do-it-yourself store (pardon my ignorance) but now I am a fan of their clothes! Reasonably priced, with good sizing, and most of all, stylish.

high style but marked down pieces at Warehouse

The best thing I found in Warehouse is this black sequined bikini top. Definitely a head-turner, I wish it was still summer but I want!

Sequined bikini top now at just Php 500 ++

Toys for the Boys at Toys R' Us

At Toys R' Us, I saw items on crazy discounts like kiddie furniture and toys from Php 2,000 to just Php 499.75! I almost pulled out a scene from the Shopaholic movie when another mom grabbed a fireman chair set before I even saw it. Believe me when I say I had evil eyes and the shopper held on to her box tightly. It was the last piece. Mommies were all over the place looking for the greatest deals for their little jelly beans.

Up to 70% off at Toys R' Us @ Robinsons Galleria

But I am still lucky because I got this interactive table for just Php 499.75, the normal price is Php 2,500. Aha!

And because I was so happy with my purchase, I got another toy for my driver's little boy as well :) A musical piano with animal sounds for just Php 199.75, the original price is Php 250.

Learning piano at just Php 199.75

Lots of toys and baby stuff are on sale, just grab a staff from Toys R' Us and ask for help and tell them what you are looking for or yet, the price you are looking for. Toys R's Us will have even more discounted items on their Baby Fair which happens on August 13-31.

Just Ask this guy at Toys R' Us! He helped me score this Braun interactive table:)

Dandy Finds at Handyman

After grabbing toys, it's time to grab some stuff for the house at Handyman. I didn't realize they had lots of interesting items just like in Saizen. For instance, solar lamps for the garden, ant killers (yes I hate them!) and modern home organizers.

This chic toaster was Php 1,350, now it's just Php 680 at Handyman Robinsons Galleria!

I have my eyes on appliance like the toaster above which I want for our new home. Yet I just had to go with a big-o convection oven.

A real handyman assists me in testing the new convection oven at just Php 1,999

Now I can not only toast bread but bake cakes, roast chickens, and grill steak for my family. Just like at Toys R' Us, there are helpful staff inside Handyman that can help you grab your best find during the clearance sale.

My hubby and I went home tired but fulfilled, him with his new Transformer toy :) Since we started our family, we've been very thrifty but with all the discounts and deals at Robinsons, we were able to shop again for ourselves without forgetting our little boy.

I am going to check out other Robinsons Malls which are all having the All-Out Clearance Sale, in fact I will be in Robinsons Pampanga tomorrow! So excited, see you all at Robinsons malls and goodluck shopping! Don't forget to be a fan of Robinsons Malls on Facebook :)

Promod Skirt + Mustard Off Shoulder

Eversince I got a ruffled skirt at Forever 21, I realized how girly they look and decided to get another one. This time, from Promod at the Atrium.

I love how these skirts follow my movements. This one is made of layered fabric that looks like lace. I am also wearing new golden flat shoes from Parisian, my guilty shoe pleasure! :)

The mustard off shoulder is from St. Francis Square and I've had it for ages. Perfect match for the skirt <3>

At Saizen Trinoma - Crazy, Fun and Funky Japanese Things!

photo
Everything at 85 pesos in Saizen!

I will be doing a series of posts about the newly opened Saizen in Trinoma because they're just so fun and funky to shop at. Just yesterday I was there with my family and I saw lots of tea cups, japanese plates, tea pots, and everything "japan-japan".

You know I am obsessed with tea sets so I got these:

A his and hers tea cups, he's a samurai and she's a geisha. sweet!

and a plain classic tea pot, just the size I need.

Here's my little corner of heaven - lots of tea all from Japan

And for the little boy I got a popsicle maker in pastel colors. Just fill them with chocolate drinks or fruit juices, pop in the freezer, and serve to your little boy on a hot day :)

Also, I got a door stopper because everytime the wind blows, I hear a loud bang x.x

Perfect for Ashton's toy room

Everything at Saizen is 85 pesos, your license to go crazy with Japanese stuff. Here's something that could just be the weirdest item you can get:-

A swinging black cat with glaring emerald eyes.

The pack says black cat's emerald eyes raises the suspicions of cats and birds, prevents them from gathering together. Cats and birds gather together? Only in Japan! Hang the black cat on a tree or anywhere in your garden x.x

A belt for books, I'll get one soon when Ashton starts reading :)

Then there are the kikay stuff:-

Facial massager, which is growing in popularity as seen in Pinoy Big Brother *lol*

And false eyelashes for just Php 85

Camphor sticks etched with words to deodorize your shoes or closet

I could go on and on with pictures of interesting stuff at Saizen. It's so exciting to shop because you find items you wish you'd gotten before from houseware, beauty, and baby stuff. We love it! Thanks Saizen for bringing a slice of Japan in Manila for just 85 pesos haha :D

Headturning Headbands from SM!

One trend that seems to stick around is headbands! Now it's all about ribbons and frills, no longer feathers and nets.

I was shopping around last week when I saw these:

headbands with sequined ribbons, studs, and some with the metallic rocker look.

Actually it was my sister Joni who discovered the new stocks of headbands in SM. She got one for my niece Anya and we ended up trying it on our heads instead haha :) Since they left for Australia, I had to get the exact same thing for myself.

I lurve it! Can't wait to wear it one of these days.

There are other designs which are puffy-er but this one is subtle and would fit easier with my wardrobe.

Whatchathink?

Underarm Bleaching at N2 Derm+ at SM North

My kili-kili with bleach

One rainy day I finally earned a day out from my mommy duties and went out with some Titas. I thought it would be the perfect time for some pampering and R&R, so we headed to SM North to try out N2 Derm because Heart Evangelista says so.

(Heart Evangelista is N2 Derm's endorser
)

I had to ask the therapist what Heart gets done on her skin and she said laser to make her skin tighter and another service that renews tired skin, perfect for celebs.

They had a buffet of services, from head to foot, from peels to massages. I wanted to get crazy and try everything but my underarms need immediate attention. You see, when some fashionistas get preggers, their underarms get dark - like mine!

I can't get my usual peels yet because I am breastfeeding, so Mhel, the N2 derm staff told me I could get a quick bleach instead. I've tried lots of quick bleaching for my underarms before I found the holy grail of solution for it. Yet, I must say that N2 Derm's underarm quick bleach service has a super more noticeable effect than other spas that offer the same.

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/1131/img0446fb.jpg
N2 Derm+ in Megamall

First, my underarms got scrubed with a hightech brush to remove dead skin cells. Next is a mild peeling solution that was rubbed onto the skin, no stings because it was super mild. Finally, the bleaching solution from fruit acids was applied and covered with cellophane.

Unlike other spas, N2 Derm does not require you to put your arms up for 30 minutes. You can put them down and SMS while waiting for the bleach to take effect.

Start to see results after 3 sessions and white underarms after 6 sessions, 2 weeks interval.

And the result, my underarm was smoother and 30% lighter! I won't put pictures because my underarms are not yet as white as they normally are, but I swear the quick bleach made it better and more bearable to look at :) I think after 3 sessions, you can start to see a huge difference and by the 6th session, you will have sparkling white kilikili.

If you don't want to have your underarms peeled with TCA by a dermatologist, then the quick bleach of N2 derm is a good option. I'll go back again after two weeks if I have the time. This service costs around Php 500, its fast and non-messy. N2 Derm and Nisce are available at SM North and SM Megamall. To see their other branches, log on to http://www.nisceskin.com/
