Beauty: The Body Shop Autumn-Winter Collection

Time to toss your sunglasses away, it's the start of rainy days and according to the beauty experts, smoky eyes are the best accessory right now. Again, I have no idea how to put on makeup properly - I confess, what more on making smoky eyes? But if you are like me, there's hope with The Body Shop's Autumn-Winter Collection.



Any make-up dummy could just ask the staff to grab all the items in the collection, put them in the signature TBS brown bag, and you're now equipped with the latest beauty trend this season. I did just that and here are my hauls:

The Body Shop gives free makeovers and lessons. Apparently, you use the eyeliner gel stick first, then brush on some eyeshadow, finish off with a mascara.



The Autumn Leaves compact can be used on your cheeks and decolletage. The tones are really fire-y, so don't forget to just put a little of this unless you want to look really red.

Now I always have these Body Shop items in my messenger bag and practice, practice, practice. Personally, I could just do with the Kajal eyeliner during my lazy days because it is just so easy to use and smudge.



Another product I just discovered is The Body Shop's Lightening Touch which is amazingly both a highlighter and concealer. I used it now on a daily basis to achieve a cleaner, brighter look.

Will post photos soon. My stash is missing a mascara so I should get one to have the "full" effect.

Fashion: Turban Day

Yesterday I had the idea of constructing a new look and I've been dying to try wearing a turban. Do you remember how Lola Audrey H. wore it?

Who doesn't want to look like her, because I do - especially when I sing Moon River to my son. I think a turban would make me internalize the song better x.x

So I took a black and white bandana, I had it since high school. You know how bandanas were such a hit during intramurals at St. Paul Pasig! From my baul, I pulled it out, folded it and instead of tying it on the back of my head, I tied it on the top. I hid the ends or else I would look like Louis Vuitton bunnies.

Beauty: Korea's Purederm Products at Watsons

I wasn't expecting for this day to be so hectic, even when I am working from home - stress piles up like a haystack! I am sure you experience this too. With not enough time to de-stress, I remembered I hoarded some products at Watsons which is my favorite one stop beauty store.

Incidentally, all the products I got were from Purederm just because their stuff looks Korean and so easy to use but are effective as well. Is this the best-kept beauty secret of Koreans? Hmmm...



For any pair of hands and fingers who've been typing/mousing all day (or harvesting in Farmville for some people) this Deep Moisture Hand Mask is for you. One pack of this contains two masks for your left and right hand. Just wear the masks on your hands, wear vinyl gloves (the type doctors use, I get mine from Watsons), then remove everything after 30 minutes.

The orange circles you see are eye masks and I've been using them since college. You pop them on the fridge and just peel two circles from the bunch, put on your eyes, relax, then throw the used pads away. Eyeloveit.

Purederm's facial masks are one of my favorite things, I like their whitening pearl masks but I wanted to try this for a change.



Lavander Collagen Mask which provides intensive hydration while the Lavender is a soothing antiseptic (perfect for problematic skin like mine). Unlike other masks, Purederm's always use natural pulp sheet which adheres to the face better. The cut outs are too cool!



I still have BB Cream phobia (because I broke out after trying 2 brands of BB creams) yet I thought I might try Purederm's. Will let you know how it goes when I've used it :)

Event: Ice Watch Launch and Auction

I suck at bidding. That's what I learned during the Ice Watch launch at C3 events place. Actually, it's his fault:



Staring at me like that! I am a married woman with a 3 month old baby, can I just have your watch please?



But really, I wanted to die and take home one of these Lego look-a-like Ice Watch boxes. Maybe it's fun to collect all colors and build towers of Ice Watches.



How to wear your Ice Watch with attitude

The collection is colorful and is based on the different seasons, winter, spring, summer, and fall. I like the Winter Sili watches just because there's no winter here in Manila.



These watches are from Belgium and is sold to more than 50 countries, now including the Philippines.

Beauty: Vaseline Healthy White

I absolutely find it interesting how the Japanese use transparent umbrellas like this:



Some find it weird but I find it cool. Just imagine how you can actually be seen by people while protecting yourself from the rain.

Now in the Philippine Islands, these girls rocked the same type of umbrellas. They are wearing Vaseline Healthy White lotion, which gives them a lot of protection from the sun.



I got one for myself and it smells great just like my other Vaseline body lotions. We only have one sun but Vaseline Healthy White lotion has triple sun protection!

I am also obsessed with grabbing every bit of opportunity to whiten my legs and the container says it also has triple lightening with Vitamin B3. I am now giving it a go and will check back again after I finish the entire thing.
