Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park totally turned itself around and made itself the best summer destination for the weekend warriors. Island Cove has been around for 11 years but it has never been this complete and exciting. With so many attractions now, the 45 minute drive from the city is already super sulit. Island Cove is just located at Kawit, Cavite.
What you can do in Island Cove:
1. Have fun at the Oceania Water Park - a super BIG pool that runs 4 to 6 feet deep, with multi-colored slides that you can dare yourself to take. Forget your worries and immerse yourself with adrenaline and splash your way into fun.
Island Cove is strict with swim wear and resort etiquette that you won't have any problems donning your favorite bikinis or swimsuits. Yes, it's that kind of resort where one can actually wear two piece suits without the nasty looks! :)
They also have a plastic canoe that you can ride with your friends for extra fun. Another relaxing pool minus the slide exists inside the Island Cottages area.
2. Ride a bike or horse to the zoo - Island Cove not only offers the usual swimming pools but healthy activities and adventures like biking (bikes are available for rent) or trekking towards their zoo that healthy and happy animals like ostrich, birds, eagles, lions, monkeys, crocodiles, and reptiles call home.
I personally admire how Island Cove treats the animals with huge enclosures and even the monkeys have their own island and lagoon.
The zoo keepers know a lot about the animals and will even let you touch these Ostrich eggs that they incubate while telling you several animal facts and stories. The eagles are not caged and you can touch them too!
3. Paint ball target shooting - ladies can enjoy shooting paint balls minus the "war zone" in Island Cove's target shooting area. Staff will teach you how to hit the dummy target and who knows, you might be joining the guys in their war games soon!
4. Sing in Island Cove's own Island Songs KTV Bar - this is not a stand alone karaoke machine like what other resorts have. Island Cove seriously owns their own KTV establishment inside the resort called Island Songs. It has more than 33 decent private rooms with consumable rates and just look at these yummy cakes! You and your friends will not run out of things to do in this resort at all.
5. Go fishing at the Fishing Village - Catch your fish and have it cooked by the Fishing Village staff or simply enjoy the fresh summer breeze here with your friends. The entire resort is WiFi enabled and here's one relaxing spot to catch up on your emails if you really need to.
There's also another bar here called Patron with it's own VIP section. Comfortable leather seats and a high view of the ocean and the Manila skyline.
For a resort that is so easy to reach, Island Cove could really be the best destination this summer. Great and fresh food coupled with excellent service and facilities, (read: clean restrooms, water, and super attentive staff) I am sure to go back here over and over again this summer! hi ate lace, I love the cookie that you brought home last Friday. I want to eat more. I also remember the last time we visited the place, we went fishing and we had lots of fish in the pail and they were cooked fresh. :)
